Aylostera wahliana (Rausch) Mosti & Papini


Regarded by some as a form of Aylostera pseudodeminuta, A. deminuta or A. spegazziniana.

This is a mid- to darkish green clumping species with bristly, brownish spines projecting out at an angle from the body, all fairly equal in size and colour. The flowers are darkish red, with rounded petals; violet tones to the outer petals; white stigmas and yellow anthers, the latter fairly long and spreading.
