Aylostera robustispina (F. Ritter) Mosti & Papini


Regarded by some as a form of Aylostera deminuta or Aylostera pseudodeminuta. As the name implies, the spines on this species are strong (for an Aylostera), long and straight and projecting out from the body. Flowers are orange-red. Smaller bodied versions are sometimes described as “var. minor”.
