Aylostera pulchella (Rausch) Mosti & Papini


Regarded by some as yet another form of Aylostera fiebrigii or Aylostera pulvinosa. The name means “pretty”. Stems are small and spherical, clustering a bit, fairly densely covered with white spines and white areoles. Flowers are bright orange-red with white centres and a whitish tinge to outer petals.
