Aylostera nogalesensis (F. Ritter) Mosti & Papini

Note that in Mosti & Papini’s recombination into Aylostera the name A. nogalesensis, with the specific name as originally published by Ritter, was mis-spelled as A. nogalensis. I have adopted the name A. nogalesensis as I believe that the mistake was unintentional.

Regarded by some to be a form of Aylostera pseudodeminuta, A. deminuta, A. nitida or A. tuberosa. The stems tend to be flatter and broader than A. nitida, with whitish areole wool rather than brown, and spines all roughly the same length. Red flowers with white stigmas.

The description is here.
