Aylostera mandingaensis R. Wahl & Jucker

A very recent discovery from approx. 2005, from Azurduy, west of Tarvita, Bolivia, described in 2008. In habitat it occurs with Aylostera tarvitaensis, A. fiebrigii and Weingartia (Sulcorebutia) tarvitaensis. Regarded by some as a form of A. tarvitaensis. This small-bodied plant with short stiff spines and small orange flowers usually remains single-bodied. Somewhat reminiscent of a Sulcorebutia.
