Aylostera azurduyensis J. de Vries


Aylostera azurduyensis is a relatively recent discovery.

Plants were found in a very small area near Azurduy in Bolivia by Elizabeth and Johan de Vries. Immediately distinctive, the plant has white flowers, and tan / light brown coloured spines. Spine length is variable with both short-spined and long-spined examples being in cultivation.
