Aylostera tarijensis (Rausch) Mosti & Papini

Regarded by some as a form of Aylostera spegazziniana. Superficially a bit like Aylostera atrovirens in habit in that it is quite a squat, low growing plant, but green bodied without any purplish tones and relatively sparsely spined, these sticking out from the body. The flowers are red, outer petals with purplish tinges, and the stigma is yellowish. The plant occurs in the same area, north and east of Tarija, Bolivia, as A. tuberosa, A. tarvitaensis and (some of the) plants currently named A. borealis N.N., and is perhaps closely related to these.

The description is here.
