Aylostera albopectinata Rausch (Mosti & Papini)

This is a very pretty plant, with small clustering bodies (though described as solitary in the wild), white spines flattened against the body like combs (hence the name) and red flowers, with purplish outer petals with a green stripe, and green stigmas. Sometimes lumped with A. froehlichiana or A. friedrichiana. Mosti & Papini (2011) gave each of these plants specific status.
