Description
This is a bit of a mystery. A. cyanensis is not a recognised name, and it has been postulated that this is a mistake for A. cajasensis. But this plant is not A. cajasensis. If anything, it looks more like A. donaldiana with its rather lumpy stems and orange flowers. Fairly unique in our collection. I wonder whether the name is an anglification of Cajon; “ensis” denotes a location.
Larger young plants 5 – 6 years old, grown from our own seed.
