At this time of year (autumn) most of the cacti have finished flowering and are getting ready for winter dormancy. To keep the colour going in the greenhouse, we have some succulents commonly known as “Mesembs” which is short for the plant family Mesembryanthemaceae. They include many plants from South Africa and Namibia, which, here in the UK, flower from late summer through the autumn. Lithops are commonly known as “living stones” and are unique in completely replacing their leaves each year. This means that if leaves get disfigured or marked, all you have to do is wait until next year! Conophytum lydiae comes in a few different colour forms from white through to deep pink.

We will be offering a range of Lithops for sale in the shop from spring 2026.
