Aylostera cintiensis description

Rebutia (Aylostera) cintiensis was first described by Friedrich Ritter in Ashingtonia vol. 2: 10, p. 206, the journal of the Ashington Botanical Trust, in 1977.

Here is the text in Latin as published, together with Ritter’s own English translation, but you should look up the original for further notes and a black-and-white photograph.

Note that the flower colour described is defined as colour no. 6, a fiery orange-red, as given in E. Biesalski’s & R. Maatsch’s 1957 publication “Pflanzenfarbenatlas für Gartenbau, Landwirtschaft und Forstwesen, mit Farbzeichen nach DIN 6164” (plant colour atlas), published by Göttingen Musterschmidt.
