Description

Found by Václav Jakubec north West of Tarabuco, Chuquisaca , Bolivia, at an altitude of 3300m.

A very attractive plant even when not flowering, with a dark green skin and symmetrically arranged neat russet-coloured spines, paler when young. Red flowers, sometimes with hints of pink or white tips or edges.
