Description
Found by Walter Rausch in 1968, near Culpina, Sud Cinti, Chuquisaca, Bolivia, at an altitude of 3200m. Recognising its distinctiveness he named it Rebutia diersiana var. atrovirens and this is the type plant for this variety. It has been misnamed at various times, with pygmaea, nigrescens, and even Lobivia making an appearance.
