Aylostera violaceostaminata (Rausch) Mosti & Papini

Regarded by some as a form of Aylostera supthutiana, A. schatzliana or of A. pygmaea. Originally described by Rausch as a variety of A. pygmaea. As the name suggests, this plant has purplish stamens (red flowers). Found to be distinctive enough to be given specific status by Mosti & Papini (2011), and placed by them in the Mediolobivia sub-genus not the Aylostera sub-genus to which A. schatzliana and A. supthutiana belong.
