Aylostera donaldiana (A.B.Lau & G.D.Rowley) Mosti & Papini


A distinctive species with a very small range in Pucara, Bolivia, discovered by Alfred Lau in 1970. With a deep, intensive but bright green, glossy, body and chestnut-brown spines, not really like any other Aylostera. One of the latest to start flowering in the collection, with reddish-orange flowers.
