Strictly speaking “Carnival” is not a single cultivar, but a range of cultivars, produced by Southfield Nurseries. It refers to unnamed Rebutia or Aylostera hybrids with barrel-shaped stems and relatively large flowers in various colours (pink, red, orange, yellow, etc.) which have not been selected and bred on to produced named cultivars.
