Aylostera haefneriana (Cullmann) Mosti & Papini

Regarded by many as a form of Aylostera atrovirens. Found to be distinctive enough to be given specific status by Mosti & Papini (2011). Plants originally described had cherry-red flowers, unusually near the apex of the stems. Plants found offered for sale in nurseries have flower colours from dark cherry red through deep pink and (questionably) orange, although notes provided by Cullmann indicate the flowers are blood red, with a wine red sheen.

The original description is here.
