Aylostera colorea (F. Ritter) Mosti & Papini

Regarded by many as a form of the superspecies Aylostera pygmaea. This plant is nevertheless quite distinctive in spination and flower colour, with it’s neatly arranged spines with orange areoles, small body, and deep pink flowers with paler edges. Regarded as distinct enough to be given specific status by Mosti & Papini (2011).
